Employment

Work place Violence and Harassment

Some peoples’ unacceptable behaviour in the workplace that makes people uncomfortable or embarrass are usually called Work place violence and harassment.

Work place Violence is some aggressive behaviour and they may include:

· Verbal abuse

· Putting other staff’s life in danger deliberately or even not helping them out to when in danger

· Sexual assault

Work place Harassment refers to less aggressive behaviour but still is against the law such as:

· Bullying in the work place

· Stealing things from work place or even hiding them

· Damaging other staff’s personal belongings

· Sexual harassment

Behaviour may include violence and harassment and the best indicator is when the behaviour becomes uncomfortable or may cause embarrassment. If any of these feelings occur for staff in the work place, they have to do something about it. There are few ways to treat these problems in the work place such as:

· It is always a great idea that talk to someone who can trust and be comfortable with

· Keep a note of what happened and the number of staff who were witness.

· If there is a union in your work place always discuss the matter with them.

· If there is any physical injury involve, see your general practitioner to have a Medical Certificate and record in your file.

The work place violent and harassment is a serious matter and if people tend to show these behaviours in work place they can be prosecuted, fine or even jail term and get a criminal record for the rest of their lives.

The Chamberlain trail and appeals: a study of justice

Personal Reflection:
I think the justice system didn't work more efficiently, for example there was baby's blood and the dingo foot steps but they have failed to test more effectivley to unterstand that she is not the one who killed her child. Her appeal to the victorian superme Court and the High Court of Australia also was rejected. The jury could not understand most of the evidence due to its technical nature. I feel very sad for this women because she hasnt been treated fairly.

Markson in the clear, as police drop investigation...

Sunday Morning Herald
15th May 2010
By: Rick Feniey

SUMMERY:
In the last 12 months Mr Max Markson has paid thousands of dollars for fines. As Herald revealed on March 31, Mr Markson should have lost his licence multiple times. Speed cameras had caught his car speeding more than 20 times in the last 20 months. because he is an important person in the company so, the company has paid extra $1000 for not mentioning the person's name.

Personal Reflection:
I strongly believe that everyone should be treated the same when it becomes to law. People, no matter of their title should obey the law just like other people. there is no reason that rich and famous people should get out of trouble easily while others will face strong punishment.
